A man once spoke of deep despair: “I brought my house before God’s care. I prayed, but nothing seemed to change; His silence felt so hard and strange.”
“Did you believe?” I asked him then. “No,” came his answer once again. His words made plain the doubts within— Yet even there, faith can begin.
Without faith, we cannot please The Lord who hears our humble pleas. “The just shall live by faith,” we read; His faithful Word is what we need.
But faith is more than getting through With every answer wished for, too. It trusts when God has answered “No,” And waits when progress seems so slow.
When doubts arise and shadows stay, “Lord, help my unbelief,” I pray. Though faith seems small and fears seem great, Teach me to trust, teach me to wait.
Forsaking all, I trust in Him, When skies are bright or days are dim. Though I cannot yet see the way, His hand will lead me day by day.
I place my burdens in His care, And leave them with my Father there. Whatever comes, this truth I know: He holds me fast and won’t let go.
