Poem -Three Widows

The Three Widows

Three widows stood in different days,
Yet walked by faith in hidden ways.
The world saw loss, the world saw pain,
But Heaven saw eternal gain.

The first stood poor, her cupboard bare,
With just a jar and silent prayer.
Her hands were weak, her hope was thin,
Yet still she let the prophet in.

She gave her last, though fear was near,
And trusted God instead of fear.
And day by day, the Lord supplied,
Her jar stayed full, her need denied.

When all seems lost and hope feels dim,God still provides for those who trust in Him.

The second widow stood alone,
No voice, no strength to call her own.
Before a judge both cold and hard,
Her cries for justice were ignored.

Yet she returned, again, again,
Through weariness, through silent pain.
She would not stop, she would not cease,
Until her soul would find release.

At last the judge, though void of care,
Gave justice just to end her prayer.

If man can yield to constant plea,โ€จHow much more will God answer thee?

The third was old, her days were long,
Yet filled her nights with prayer and song.
She dwelt within the temple walls,
Where heaven listens when one calls.

She fasted, watched, and chose to stay,
While years like shadows slipped away.
But waiting hearts are never blind,
For God reveals to those aligned.

One day she saw, with eyes so true,
The promised Child come into view.

For those who wait and seek His face,โ€จWill one day stand in promised grace.

Three widows, three paths they trod,
Yet all were known and seen by God.

One trusted Him with her last bread,
One cried till justice rose instead,
One waited long in holy place,
And saw the Saviour face to face.

So if you walk a road unclear,
Or carry burdens, pain, or fearโ€”
Remember this, both firm and fair:

God knows your heart, God hears your cry,โ€จGod sees each tear that leaves your eye.โ€จIn want, in fight, or silent careโ€”โ€จThe Lord is presentโ€ฆ always there.
