Poem Psalm Chapter 11

Poem Psalms Chapter 11

My Refuge Is the Lord

When shadows fall and fears arise,

And tears like rain fill weary eyes,

When all around seems lost and dim,

My heart finds refuge still in Him.

Not in the strength of hand or sword,

But in the promise of the Lord,

For though the enemy draws near,

His voice alone can silence fear.

When I am weak and feel undone,

I hide beneath the Holy One,

No storm can shake, no night destroy,

The shelter of my God, my joy.

Iโ€™ve walked through valleys dark and deep,

Where silent sorrows wake from sleep,

Yet in that place, so cold and bare,

I found my refuge waiting there.

He is my rock, my fortress strong,

The place where trembling hearts belong,

No shifting sand, no fleeting breath,

Can move His love or threaten death.

When voices whisper, โ€œAll is lost,โ€

And trials come at heavy cost,

I lift my eyes, my soul restored,

For I have refuge in the Lord.

I do not stand because Iโ€™m brave,

But by the grace He freely gave,

For every fear that grips my soul

Finds peace when He is in control.

So let the winds of trouble rise,

Let storms assemble in the skies,

I will not fear what lies beforeโ€”

My refuge is the Lord, my Lord.
