Poem -Psalm Chapter 33

Psalm 33 — Sing Unto the Lord

Sing unto the Lord a brand new song,
For His loving mercy is deep and strong.
The heavens were formed by His mighty hand,
The seas obey His holy command.

The stars at night shine by His voice,
And all creation in Him rejoice.
Kings may boast of armies and power,
Yet kingdoms fade like a dying flower.

But blessed the nation that seeks His face,
Who walks each day in truth and grace.
The eye of God is upon the weak,
Upon the humble who softly seek.

He sees the tears no man can know,
He lifts the weary bowed down low.
No horse nor sword can truly save,
Only the Lord is strong and brave.

Our soul shall wait upon the King,
For He alone gives songs to sing.
He is our shelter through storm and fear,
A faithful God forever near.

So let Thy mercy upon us rest,
For those who trust in Thee are blessed.
From age to age Thy truth shall be,
Our hope, our joy, eternally.
