Poem -Psalm 31

Poem -Psalm Chapter 31

Book of Psalms

โ€” โ€œInto Thy Handsโ€

When fear surrounds on every side,
And sorrow seeks a place to hide,
When friends grow faint and hopes depart,
The Lord still whispers to the heart.

โ€œIn Me, My child, thy soul shall rest,
Though storms may rage upon thy breast.โ€
For David cried through grief and pain,
Yet found the Lord was still the same.

โ€œMy times are held within Thy hand,โ€
Not chance, nor fate, nor shifting sand.
Though tears may fall like winter rain,
God counts them all and knows the pain.

The enemy may mock and sneer,
And lonely nights may bring their fear,
But heavenโ€™s light still shines above,
Upon the weary child He loves.

โ€œInto Thy hands my spirit goes,โ€
The soul that trusts, the Father knows.
The Rock of refuge strong and true,
Whose mercy every morning grew.

The righteous cry, the Lord will hear,
He gathers every falling tear.
Though trouble walks a darkened way,
The Lord shall turn the night to day.

Be of good courage, do not fear,
For God is always standing near.
The heart that waits upon the Lord
Shall find great comfort in His Word.

So rest, O soul, and trust His name,
His love forever stays the same.
For those who seek the Lord above
Are sheltered in eternal love.
