Poem -Psalm Chapter 30

The Morning Will Come

A Poem from Psalm 30

The night was dark, the tears fell fast,
He feared the pain would always last.
His heart was weak, his soul worn thin,
As storms without and storms within.

He cried unto the Lord above,
For mercy, grace, and healing love.
And though the heavens seemed so still,
God had not left him on the hill.

The pit was deep, the road was long,
Yet God became his strength and song.
The Lord who hears the faintest cry
Reached down with mighty hands from high.

The night may hold the sound of grief,
And hearts may pray for quick relief,
But God still watches through the pain,
And sends the morning after rain.

When pride had whispered, โ€œYou are strong,โ€
David discovered he was wrong.
For earthly strength will fade away,
But God remains from day to day.

Then mourning turned to joyful praise,
And darkness fled before Godโ€™s rays.
The sackcloth fell, the dancing came,
And David glorified Godโ€™s name.

So weary soul, do not despair,
The Lord still hears the humble prayer.
Though tears may visit for a while,
God still can make the broken smile.

For every night must meet the dawn,
And sorrowโ€™s shadow soon is gone.
The Lord who helped His servant then
Still lifts the fallen hearts of men.

โ€œWeeping may endure for a night,But joy cometh in the morning.โ€
