Poem -Psalm 28

Poem-Psalm 28

Here is a rhyming poem based on Psalm 28 (not a copy, original writing):

When Heaven Seems Silent

O Lord, my Rock, to You I cry,
Do not be silent, hear my sigh.
If You are still and do not speak,
I fall as those too lost and weak.

With lifted hands, I call Your name,
My only hope, my steady flame.
From deep within my soul I plead,
O hear me in my hour of need.

Count me not with hearts untrue,
Whose lips speak peace, but hearts pursue
A darker path, concealed from sightโ€”
Yet known to You, O God of light.

They turn away from all Youโ€™ve done,
Ignoring works of Holy One.
But You are just, and You will see
The truth behind hypocrisy.

Yet blessed be the Lord above,
Who heard my cry and showed me love.
Though I could not yet see the way,
My heart found strength enough to say:

โ€œThe Lordโ€™s my shield, my strength, my song,
In Him I trust when days are long.โ€
And in that trust, my help appeared,
My heart rejoiced, no longer feared.

Now not for me alone I pray,
But for Your people, night and day.
O shepherd them with guiding hand,
And gently lead throughout the land.

Lift them up when they are low,
Carry them through all they know.
Forever be their strength and guide,
And keep them ever by Your side.
