Proverbs 3 – A Rhyming Poem

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
Not in your thoughts that pull apart,
For man may see but part the way,
But God sees all—both night and day.

Lean not upon your own insight,
For feelings shift like day to night,
Acknowledge Him in all you do,
And He will guide your pathway through.

Be not wise in your own sight,
Turn from the wrong, choose what is right,
For fearing God brings strength within,
And healing flows where faith begins.

Honour the Lord with all you own,
Not just in word, but life alone,
Give Him your first, your very best,
And He will surely do the rest.

Despise not when He brings correction,
It comes from love, not rejection,
A Father’s hand both firm and kind,
To shape the heart and train the mind.

For wisdom’s worth is far more sure
Than gold that fades or riches poor,
Her ways bring peace, her paths are bright,
She leads the soul in truth and light.

The Lord by wisdom formed the earth,
Gave every living creature birth,
And that same wisdom He will give,
To guide your steps in how to live.

Walk in His ways, be calm, be still,
He guards your path from hidden ill,
No fear by night, no dread by day,
For God Himself will be your stay.

Do good to those within your reach,
Let kindness flow in all you teach,
Envy not those who choose the wrong,
Their way is short—it won’t last long.

The humble soul the Lord will raise,
And crown with grace in all their ways,
But pride will fall, though standing tall,
For God resists the proud in all.

So trust in Him, whate’er may be,
For He alone sees perfectly,
And in His care, both strong and true,
He’ll make a righteous path for you.
