Poem God’s Patient Man

The Patience of Job

Patience is more than waiting still,
Itโ€™s trusting God in every trial and will,
When storms arise and hopes seem gone,
Yet still you choose to carry on.

Job stood firm when all was lost,
He bore the weight, he paid the cost,
Though friends accused and wounds ran deep,
He held his faith he chose to keep.

For some will smile when you stand tall,
But whisper low when you might fall,
They gather close in troubled days,
Not all to helpโ€”but some to raise.

โ€œLord, give me patienceโ€”give it now!โ€
We often cry, yet donโ€™t know how,
For patience grows through fire and test,
In silent trials, God does the rest.

Emotions rise, the heart can bend,
At times it feels too much to mend,
Yet weakness turned to God above,
Is strengthened by His endless love.

His Word stands firm, it will not fade,
Each promise sure, each vow He made,
For God is true, He does not lie,
His timing comesโ€”though years go by.

So, hold on tight, donโ€™t cast away,
Your faith in God from day to day,
For what He spoke, He will fulfil,
Be patientโ€ฆ and be trusting still.
