Poem-Words Have ConsequencesMatthew 12:27

Here is aย strong rhyming poem Words Have Consequence

A word once spoken cannot return,
Like fire released, it will surely burn.
It builds a life or tears apart,
For every word flows from the heart.

It has been said, and true we see,
Speak truthโ€”and hated you may be.
For truth will shine where dark things hide,
And wound the place where pride resides.

Jesus Christ spoke with words both pure and right,
He was the Truth, the Life, the Light.
Yet still they mocked, refused His call,
And nailed Him to a cross for all.

Not for wrongโ€”but truth He gave,
A dying world He came to save.
His words were sharp, yet filled with grace,
Still many turned from His embrace.

โ€œLet your yes be yes,โ€ He said,
โ€œNo be noโ€โ€”let truth be spread.
No twisting words to please a crowd,
No hidden lies dressed up as proud.

For every word we speak in breath,
Carries lifeโ€ฆ or echoes death.
A careless tongue, a poisoned stream,
Can shatter hope and crush a dream.

Yet gentle truth, though firm and clear,
Can draw a wandering soul near.
Not harsh to break, but strong to guide,
A lamp that will not step aside.

So speak with loveโ€”but speak it true,
Let heavenโ€™s light shine out through you.
Though some may turn and walk away,
Stand firm in what your words convey.

For when the final day appears,
Beyond all time, beyond all years,
Each word we spoke will then be knownโ€”
Before the everlasting throne.

So guard your tongue, let truth remain,
Through joy, through loss, through trial and pain.
For words have weight, they always doโ€”
And God is listeningโ€ฆ to you.
