Sowing &Reaping Matthew 7:12

The Golden Rule โ€” A Seed of Love

In Gospel of Matthew the Saviour said,
โ€œGive what you wish to receive instead,โ€
Not waiting on man, nor how they may feel,
But living by heavenโ€™s unchanging rule.

A farmer walks through fields so wide,
With seed in hand, no fear, no pride,
He does not wait for crops to growโ€”
He first must plant, he first must sow.

So every word and deed we lay
Are seeds we scatter day by day,
A gentle touch, a helping hand,
Are planted deep in lifeโ€™s great land.

If love you seek, then love must start,
Sown from the soil of your own heart,
If mercyโ€™s rain you long to see,
Then mercy sow abundantly.

You cannot plant a bitter seed,
And hope for kindness in your need,
For every field, both far and near,
Brings forth the fruit thatโ€™s planted there.

Though some may turn and walk away,
And mock the seeds you sow today,
Still plant in faith, do not delayโ€”
For God records each seed you lay.

And in His time, the harvest grows,
In ways the sower rarely knows,
For what is given, pure and true,
Will find its way returning to you.

So walk this path, both firm and sure,
Let love be rich, let grace be pure,
For in this rule, both bright and wise,
The heart of heaven before you lies.
